Collection: Alden
The Alden Shoe Company was founded in 1884 by Charles H. Alden in Massachusetts on the east coast of the United States. It is a legendary page in the history of American footwear.
Alden, which was founded a little later than the Industrial Revolution, benefited from global technological reforms and was able to make more breakthroughs in production efficiency, thus gradually establishing a reputation in the market.
Due to its insistence on quality and positioning, Alden is still standing despite the difficult environment of the Great Depression 50 years after its founding. At that time, many shoe companies were transitioning to the cheap mass market, but Alden instead insisted on taking the high-end route, which made Alden grow rapidly during this severe period.
Over the century since the brand was born, Alden has not only become world-famous for its Shell Cordovan Leather, but has also created many classics, such as the first Tassel Loafer, which is a must-have shoe for Ivy League students. Alden's work boots are also nicknamed "Indy Boots" because of the blessing of the movie "Indiana Jones".
