Collection: Fox Umbrellas

Founded in 1868 during the reign of Queen Victoria , Fox Umbrellas is not the oldest in the long history of umbrellas in the UK, but it has played a key role in the evolution of modern umbrellas.

The umbrella shop opened by the founder Thomas Fox originally sold umbrellas that were no different from the ones sold by everyone else, all with whale ribs and silk fabrics. Although they could keep out the wind and rain, they were not very sturdy and durable. It was not until 1880 , following the wave of the Industrial Revolution, that the unique steel frame structure was invented, making umbrellas light and sturdy, and laying the basic prototype for modern umbrellas.

After World War II, new materials emerged like mushrooms after rain, and this century-old store became the first company to use nylon fabric to make umbrellas. Later, a series of umbrella handles with wooden handles, bamboo handles, or animal heads made of metals such as tin and nickel were launched .

Since its establishment, Fox Umbrellas still insists on continuing to make umbrellas by hand.
