Although not originally a tie fabric, the ancient capital of Japan has a long tradition and expertise in kimono silk weaving.

In Como, the center of the Italian silk industry, lies the oldest silk weaving factory in Europe.

They were founded in the mid-19th century as a supplier of silk for furniture and clothing, and in the early 20th century began manufacturing silk ties and textiles.

A large number of historic wooden looms are still in use today, and the end product produced by these machines can never be replaced.
